Terms & Conditions

  1. By creating an account through www.sitclickstayplay.com (The Web Site) and by digitally signing the Sit Click Stay Play sign up form, Client acknowledges that they have read and understand the terms and conditions outlined below and agree to be bound by them and will remain in effect until terminated by either party as provided below in Item 28.

  2. All new clients of Sit Click Stay Play must complete an introductory phone call in which Sit Click Stay Play will discuss Client's pet care needs, details of services provided by Sit Click Stay Play, determine if Client's address is within Sit Click Stay Play's service area and to schedule a free of charge meet and greet session. 

  3. All new clients of Sit Click Stay Play must complete an in-person meet and greet session to determine the temperament of Client's pet(s), special needs & considerations for pet care, specifics of individual pet's medical needs and medication distribution if applicable (see Item 27), any additional Client requests for home and/ or pet care. 

  4. To book Sit Click Stay Play services, Client must sign up for membership by clicking the Log In button / Sign Up button and submitting the Sit Slick Stay Play Sign Up Form from the home page of The Web Site. Membership approval to The Web Site is at the sole discretion of Sit Click Stay Play and will not be granted until a meet and greet session has been completed.

  5. The fees for all services offered by Sit Click Stay Play are outlined on the "Pricing" page of The Web Site. Upon Client submission of booking request through the "Book Now" page of The Web Site, Sit Click Stay Play will review and approve or deny request pursuant to current availability outlined in the availability calendar on said web page.

  6. Upon booking approval for overnight in-home pet sitting services, Client will be issued an invoice reflecting the requested services and dates. A deposit of 50% of the invoiced amount is due within 72 hours (3 days) of invoice date. Only once payment of deposit is received, is booking considered confirmed and dates will be blocked out on the availability calendar. 

  7. For in-home pet sitting services, payment of remaining 50% of invoice is due 48 hours (2 days) before booked service start date. If invoice is not paid in full within 24hours (1 day) of invoice due date, service will be considered cancelled and deposit will not be refunded. Sit Click Stay Play will make reasonable attempts to contact client to issue a reminder within the 24 hour payment grace period before cancelling services.

  8. Upon booking approval for drop in/ dog walking services, Client will be issued an invoice reflecting the requested services and dates. Payment is due in full within 72 hours (3 days) of invoice date. Only once payment is received, is booking request considered confirmed and dates will be blocked out on the availability calendar.

  9. Client requests for service cancellation must be made by phone, text message, or email within 72 hours (3 days) of initial deposit payment to qualify for a full refund. Any cancelation requests made after the 72 hour cutoff will not receive a refund of deposit.

  10. Client rescheduling requests may be made by phone, text message or email within 72 hours (3 days) of initial deposit payment (the grace period). However, Client must first review the availability calendar on the "Book Now" page of The Web Site and abide by current availability. Rescheduling requests made within the grace period that requires a different number of dates or change of requested services from the initial booking, will then be issued an updated invoice that reflects the change. Deposit paid will be applied to new invoice.

  11. Sit Click Stay Play will provide reasonable accommodations for Client's rescheduling requests made after the 72 hour grace period. However, Sit Click Stay Play reserves the right to deny or adjust rescheduling dates and/ or services as needed for any reason before final confirmation of booking request. Rescheduling requests made after the 72 hour grace period that are denied will not qualify for a refund of deposit.

  12. Any booking requests initiated within 1 week of requested service date start are considered short-notice and payment is due in full within 72 hours (3 days) of invoice date or 48 hours (2 days) of service start date (whichever comes first) to confirm service dates if available.

  13. For any reoccurring bookings that repeat weekly or monthly, by default, an invoice will be issued at the beginning of each reoccurrence period, orinvoices may be issued at increments of 1 week, 2 weeks, or 1 month, to best accommodate the Client's preference. Payment for reoccurring bookings is due in-full within 72 hours (3 days) of invoice date.

  14. Overdue invoices that remain unpaid for a period of one (1) month will result in the automatic termination of Client's membership account to The Web Site and Sit Click Stay Play's service, disqualifies the Client from reapplying for membership or utilizing Sit Click Stay Play's services thereafter, and will be subject to an additional late payment fee of $100 per week that will be added to outstanding balance(s) for every subsequent week following the one (1) month date from initial invoice date.

  15. Invoices that remain overdue for a period of three (3) months will result in the account being forwarded to collections, additionally, the client may be subject to legal arbitration to recover the outstanding balance and any additional late fees associated with overdue invoice(s.)

  16. Sit Click Stay Play will make reasonable attempts to notify Client of any and all payment deadlines, overdue payment notices, additional late payment fees levied, account notices, and legal action before they go into effect pursuant to Items 14 and 15.

  17. Client acknowledges that payment is due pursuant to Items 6 through 16 above. In the event it is necessary to initiate collection proceedings on the account, Client will be responsible for all attorney’s fees and costs of collection.

  18. Sit Click Stay Play and it's employees/ official representatives are authorized to perform care and services as outlined in this contract. Both Sit Click Stay Play and Client recognize that the welfare of the animal is the highest priority. If in Sit Click Stay Play's judgment additional services become necessary during the service period to properly care for the animal, Sit Click Stay Play will first make reasonable attempts to contact Client. If Client cannot be contacted for whatever reason, Sit Click Stay Play is authorized to undertake such additional steps as may in the reasonable judgment of Sit Click Stay Play be necessary or appropriate for the health and welfare of the animal, including but not limited to (a) additional visits by Sit Click Stay Play to provide care for the animal; (b) consultation with Client’s Veterinarian listed on their member profile for The Web Site, or with an emergency veterinary care provider should Client’s Veterinarian be unavailable; (c) authorizing care and treatment as recommended by Client’s Veterinarian or an emergency veterinary care provider (excluding euthanasia) up to a maximum cost of $1500.00; and (d) such other steps as may in the reasonable judgment of Sit Click Stay Play be necessary or appropriate for the health and welfare of the animal. Client agrees to be responsible for all fees and expenses incurred for care and treatment of the animal pursuant to this paragraph, and releases and holds Sit Click Stay Play harmless from all liabilities related to transportation, treatment and expense. Client agrees to reimburse Sit Click Stay Play or it's employees for any expense incurred, plus any additional fees for attending to animal’s needs or any expenses incurred for any other home/food/supplies needed

  19. In the event of inclement weather, natural disaster or circumstances beyond our control, e.g. acts of terrorism, etc., Sit Click Stay Play is entrusted to use best judgment in caring for pet(s) and home. Sit Click Stay Play will be held harmless for consequences related to such decisions.

  20. Sit Click Stay Play agrees to provide the services stated in this contract in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, CLIENT EXPRESSLY WAIVES AND RELINQUISHES ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AGAINST SIT CLICK STAY PLAY,  IT'S EMPLOYEES AND/ OR OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PROVISION OF SERVICES HEREUNDER, EXCEPT THOSE ARISING FROM GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT ON THE PART OF SIT CLICK STAY PLAY. SHOULD EMPLOYEES OR ANY AUTHORIZED PERSON ACCOMPANYING EMPLOYEES SUSTAIN ANY INJURY, DISEASE OR OTHER HARM IN THE COURSE OF PROVIDING SERVICES HEREUNDER, CLIENT WILL INDEMNIFY PET SITTER/ SIT CLICK STAY PLAY AND HOLD IT HARMLESS WITH RESPECT TO ALL LOSS, EXPENSE AND DAMAGE CAUSED THEREBY, EXCEPT THOSE ARISING FROM GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT ON THE PART OF SIT CLICK STAY PLAY, IT'S EMPLOYEES, OR OTHER OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVES. Sit Click Stay Play shall only be responsible for the care, custody, and control of Client's pet(s) during the specifically agreed-upon service dates and times as outlined in any confirmed service booking. Outside of those agreed times, and when a Sit Click Stay Play employee or official representative is physically present with Client's pet(s), Client retains full responsibility for the safety, care, and well-being of their pet(s), and Sit Click Stay Play shall bear no liability for any incidents or issues that occur outside of such designated periods.

  21. For overnight in-home pet sitting services, Client agrees to provide the pet sitter with safe and adequate living and sleeping accommodations, including a habitable private clean space, clean bedding, access to basic amenities, and a comfortable environment suitable for rest during the service period. Qualification for said accommodations is at the sole discretion of the pet sitter. Client acknowledges that failure to provide such accommodations may result in the pet sitter's inability to fulfill their duties and may lead to termination or adjustment of services. In the event any adjustments are made to services due to inadequate accommodations, that would otherwise be priced lower than the initial invoice for booked services, are not entitled a refund. If termination or adjustment to services is required, reasonable attempts will be made by Sit Click Stay Play to contact Client and inform them of said service adjustments or termination.

  22. For drop-in and dog walking services, Client agrees to allow up to a 4 hour window (2 hours before and 2 hours after) around the agreed scheduled start time for pet sitter to arrive and provide the scheduled service for Client's pet. Once service is completed a message with photo update will be sent to client via email or text message to confirm completion of service.

  23. During the booked service period, Sit Click Stay Play agrees to provide basic house maintenance services such as watering plants, and retrieving mail and packages from the outside of Client's service address and on Client's property (up to 30lbs.) Client requests to retrieve or move packages, equipment, or household objects in excess of 30lbs. may be denied or subject to an additional charge at the discretion of pet sitter. To the best of their ability, Sit Click Stay Play pet sitter agrees to provide cleaning of messes that may arise during the service period and normal process of providing pet care services. Sit Click Stay Play reserves the right to refuse additional house-care, or personal services that occur outside of the scheduled service dates and times and/ or fall outside the reasonable scope of performing the primary services and duties outlined above.

  24. Additional pet care services (outside normal scope of pet sitting, walking, feeding/ watering, and administration of medications,) such as grooming, tooth brushing, bathing, and transportation of Client's pets either by request of Client or for necessary care and safety of pet are subject to additional fees and/ or reimbursement.

  25. In the event of personal emergency or illness of assigned Sit Click Stay Play pet sitter, Client authorizes Sit Click Stay Play to arrange for another qualified person to fulfill responsibilities as set forth on this contract. In such case, Pet Sitter will remain fully responsible for the proper discharge of all services under this Agreement. Every attempt will be made to notify client regarding such situation.​

  26. All pets are to be currently up-to-date on all vaccines recommended by Client's primary veterinary care provider.

  27. Client is required to disclose any and all information and instructions on individual pet's necessary medical needs including medications, medication disbursement timing, and dosages. Client hereby authorizes Sit Click Stay Play it's employees and official representatives to administer medication to the pet as specified in the provided instructions. This includes, but is not limited to, administering prescribed medication and any necessary adjustments as per their veterinarian's recommendations. The pet owner affirms that all necessary medication and instructions have been provided to Sit Click Stay Play and/ or assigned pet sitter prior to the start of the pet sitting period.

  28. Sit Click Stay Play and Client each may terminate this contract at any time by written notice to the other. Sit Click Stay Play will be entitled to payment for all services rendered until notice of termination is received limited to no less than 50% of total invoice amount set as non-refundable deposit and for any transition services reasonably required to provide for the health and welfare of Client’s pets. Sit Click Stay Play will not terminate during a period of scheduled service unless assigned Pet Sitter determines, in his/her sole discretion, that a danger exists to the health or safety of said Pet Sitter. If such concerns preclude Pet Sitter from providing further care of the pet, then Client authorizes pet to be placed in a kennel, with all charges therefrom to be charged to Client. Every attempt will be made to notify Client regarding such situation. 

  29. Client acknowledges that by signing the Sit Click Stay Play sign-up form, they are providing written approval for the provision of services by Sit Click Stay Play during any service period scheduled by Client and accepted by Sit Click Stay Play. Upon such scheduling and acceptance, Sit Click Stay Play and it's employees and official representatives will be authorized to enter Client premises and perform services without additional signed contracts or written authorization and to accept reservations for future visits.

  30. Client grants Sit Click Stay Play permission to photograph and/or record video of Client's pet(s) during the course of pet sitting services. Such media may be used by Sit Click Stay Play for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, and marketing materials. No identifying information about the Client will be used without additional consent. If Client does not wish for images or videos of their pet(s) to be used in this manner, Client must inform Sit Click Stay Play either verbally or in writing prior to or during the service period. In the absence of such notice, consent shall be presumed.

 

Please note: Due to a pet’s excitement to see us, “door darting” may be attempted by a pet. We take every precaution to prevent this from occurring, but do require that all dogs and cats under our care wear an ID tag (or collar) stating their name and your phone number.
